How to install 32-bit php on 64-bit system?
Install 32-bit php oci extension on 64-bit Windows
On 64-bit Windows Detailed tutorial on installing 32-bit PHP OCI8 extension and Oracle Instant Client on Windows:
Enable PHP OCI8 extension on Windows
OCI8 is a PHP extension, generally not enabled by default, used to connect to Oracle Database, no matter which method you use, whether it is pdo or Windows direct connection, you need the oci8 extension. If the PHP system environment variable is configured, you can use the cmd> php --ri oci8 command to check whether the oci8 extension is enabled.
php --ri oci8
Install OCI8
First download the OCI8 extension http://pecl.php.net/package/o... The version I downloaded here is 5.5 Thread Safe (TS) x86 version
Note: The version is divided into Thread Safe and Non Thread Safe (the difference can be found on Baidu). Generally, Apache chooses Thread Safe. If you are not sure, you can use phpinfo to check it out. In PHP Extension The Build column is displayed.
Why choose the x86 version? Because my php is 32-bit, the extension must also be 32-bit. After downloading, unzip the php_oci8.dll file and copy it to the PHP extension directory. The extension directory is specified by extension_dir = xxxxxx in php.ini. If your system is 64-bit, you can download the x64 version accordingly.
If it prompts that php_oci8 is not a valid win32 program when starting apache, it must be that the version is wrong, just download the correct one.
Installing Oracle Client
Oracle Instant Client is a set of free, easily installable libraries that allow programs to connect to local or remote Oracle database instances.
Many tutorials directly add extensions and ignore the installation of the Oracle client. In this case, the PHP system will report that it cannot locate the program input point OCILobRead2 on the dynamic link library OCI.dll. Obviously, Windows cannot find oci. dll file
First download the oracle client http://www.oracle.com/technet... What I downloaded here is the instantclient-basic-win32-11.1.0.6.0.zip version, please be sure to Download the version that matches PHP. If your PHP is 32-bit, then Oracle must also download the 32-bit version.
After downloading, there is the file oci.dll inside. When the php extension is started, the oracle file is what you are looking for. So how do you find this dll in PHP and add system environment variables? I won’t go into details on how to add them. If necessary, please leave a message.
Finally, uncomment php_oci8.dll in the php.ini file and restart Apache.
Delete the semicolon before the following line of code:
extension=php_oci8.dll
