According to news from this site on February 11, in addition to Pieter "SkatterBencher" Plaisier successfully overclocking the Ryzen 7 8700G APU, there is also an overclocking player @Roman "der8auer" Hartung who successfully conducted an open-cover test.

In fact, it is relatively simple to open the cover and handle the Ryzen 8000G series APU. This generation of APU uses ordinary silicone grease for heat dissipation, rather than the soldered design used by the Ryzen 7000 processor.

According to the information learned by this site, it is not the first time that AMD has launched "Silicone Grease U" on the desktop. The previous AM4 generation Ryzen 2000G series used silicone grease.

Der8auer conducted a test where he used a Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet heatsink and replaced it with liquid gold to improve heat dissipation. In the test, the overclocking frequency of all cores reached 5.0 GHz. Compared with the original factory, the temperature dropped by 10°C (using the Violent Bear heat sink) and about 25°C (replacing the liquid gold heat sink). In addition, the frequency has also been significantly improved.
