Salesforce's latest survey: There is a deep generation gap among users in using generative AI
Software service provider Salesforce found in a study that nearly two-thirds of generative AI users are Generation Z or Millennials. Among those who rarely use or lag behind in generating AI, more than 68% are Generation X or Baby Boomers.
The survey found that 51% of people have never used generative AI and 49% have used this technology. Of those who have used generative AI, more than a third use it daily, and about two-thirds use it weekly or more.
This Salesforce study reveals the differences between consumers who have used generative AI tools and those who have not, as well as the concerns and generational differences among laggards about using AI tools.
The survey also found that about 65% of generative AI users belong to Generation Z or Millennials, 72% of users are employed, and 51% of them are full-time workers
In many Of those who use generative AI less or are behind the curve, more than 68% belong to Generation X or Baby Boomers, 48% are employed, and 52% are unemployed
Salesforce Product Marketing Staff member Kelly Eliyahu said: "Gen Z is actually the AI generation, and they constitute a group of super users. 70% of Gen Z are using generative AI, and at least half use it every week or more."
According to Salesforce survey results, those users who adopt generative AI are optimistic about its potential and are quickly learning how to use it
Nearly 60% of generative AI users believe that they are Master this technique. More than half said the technology was changing their lives and that they were using it more frequently after being exposed to generative AI.
Among Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z users, the most popular use of generative AI is “entertainment/passing time.” Baby boomer users mainly use AI to learn knowledge and topics that interest them, which is the second most popular use among the three generations.
Across these generations, approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of generative AI users say they use generative AI to write personal notes or emails. Using AI to compose work emails is least popular among baby boomers, with only 15% doing so, compared with 26% to 31% of younger generations.
For those For those who have been slow to try generative AI, Eliyahu noted, “Of these people, 88% said they were not using generative AI because they were unsure of the impact it would have on their lives. Even if they were using , also need to understand step by step. So, need to see how generative AI can really improve their lives."
"Especially the baby boomers, even after they retire. They need to understand how generative AI can become a Travel itineraries, personal finances and budgeting, learning about topics they are interested in, shopping recommendations, recipe planning, etc. are part of their daily consumer life. But the problem is, they are not actively seeking this information or learning how to use it like a power user." Eliyahu added.
According to the survey results, Salesforce found that more than 63% of respondents hope that AI tools can be more secure. This is also an important question raised by respondents in the survey. Eliyahu explained: “When asked what would make AI users and non-AI users use generative AI more, their first The response is whether it's more secure and more reliable. They want to know if inputting sensitive information or data can get a better generative response and want to ensure that this information is secure, that this proprietary data is not shared somewhere, or Used in large language models, or to help competitors."
Additionally, 61% would like to learn more about the technology overall, and 58% would like to know how to use it better. Generative AI, they will use it more often. About half of respondents said they would use generative AI more if companies were more transparent about how they use it and integrated it into the technologies they already use.

As smart AI begins to be integrated into all levels of enterprise software platforms and applications (we must emphasize that there are both powerful core tools and some less reliable simulation tools), we need a new set of infrastructure capabilities to manage these agents. Camunda, a process orchestration company based in Berlin, Germany, believes it can help smart AI play its due role and align with accurate business goals and rules in the new digital workplace. The company currently offers intelligent orchestration capabilities designed to help organizations model, deploy and manage AI agents. From a practical software engineering perspective, what does this mean? The integration of certainty and non-deterministic processes The company said the key is to allow users (usually data scientists, software)

The way artificial intelligence is applied may be unexpected. Initially, many of us might think it was mainly used for creative and technical tasks, such as writing code and creating content. However, a recent survey reported by Harvard Business Review shows that this is not the case. Most users seek artificial intelligence not just for work, but for support, organization, and even friendship! The report said that the first of AI application cases is treatment and companionship. This shows that its 24/7 availability and the ability to provide anonymous, honest advice and feedback are of great value. On the other hand, marketing tasks (such as writing a blog, creating social media posts, or advertising copy) rank much lower on the popular use list. Why is this? Let's see the results of the research and how it continues to be
