Chery Group announced its sales data for the first half of 2023 today, once again achieving eye-catching results. Chery Group revealed that its sales in the first half of the year reached 740,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 56%, setting a new record.
In June, Chery Group’s vehicle sales reached 145,235 units, an increase of 38.3% compared with the same period last year. 741,429 vehicles were sold cumulatively from January to June, marking a record-breaking 56% year-on-year increase in half-year sales. It is worth noting that Chery Group’s sales have exceeded 100,000 vehicles each month in the past 13 months, achieving growth against the trend. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Chery Group's growth rate this year has continued to maintain the second position in the industry.
Data released by Chery Group shows that its major passenger car brands have achieved outstanding performance in the market. Among them, Chery brand sales reached 105,908 vehicles in June, a year-on-year increase of 33.4%; sales from January to June were 539,427 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 50.9%. The Xingtu brand sold 9,842 vehicles in June, a year-on-year increase of 192.7%; from January to June, the sales volume was 42,240 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 119.3%. The Jietu brand sold 21,607 vehicles in June, a year-on-year increase of 43.7%; from January to June, the sales volume was 112,381 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 84.1%.
It is worth noting that popular models such as Chery Group’s Tiggo 8, Tiggo 7 and Jietu X70 were very prominent in the first half of the year. These three models contributed to sales of 97,359 units, 107,457 units and 67,918 units respectively, with year-on-year growth of 24.4%, 80.4% and 29.4% respectively.
The reason why Chery Group can continue to grow sales rapidly lies in its continuous introduction of new strategies, new brands and new technologies.
