News on July 1st, Microsoft released a blog post today, inviting Microsoft 365 Insider program members participate in testing new functionality and features. It is reported that this test will be conducted on macOS, iOS and Android platform applications, covering two important functions of automatic cropping and merging PDF files.
According to the editor’s understanding, Microsoft specially invited Microsoft 365 on macOS and iOS platforms in this test Insider program members, allowing them to experience automatic cropping in Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications. This new feature automatically identifies the most important parts of an image and crops the rest, replacing the previous tedious manual cropping operation. Users can quickly complete cropping with just a simple click. It should be noted that this cropping function does not currently support SVG and PDF files, and using this function on the Mac platform requires Version 16.76 (Build 23062703) and higher, while on iOS platform requires Version 2.76 (Build 23062804) and higher.
Also, paid subscription to Microsoft 365 for Android Insider members also have the opportunity to experience the function of merging PDF files. Users only need to enter the "Select Files" page, select the PDF files to be merged, and then click the "Next" button and the "Merge PDF" button to quickly merge files. Users can also freely choose the order of merging PDF files before clicking the "Next" button.
Microsoft’s latest functional test brings a more convenient operating experience to users and improves the efficiency of office and document processing. Users only need to update the corresponding application version to try these new features. We look forward to Microsoft bringing more practical features and innovative experiences to users in future updates.
