  1. Configuring the php.ini file

In the php.ini file, enable the PHP error log function by setting the error_reporting and display_errors parameters. error_reporting is used to specify the error level reported by PHP, and display_errors is used to display these errors.   1. Modify the .htaccess file

.htaccess is the configuration file of the Apache server, in which you can also specify the error level reported by PHP and whether to display error information. Add the following content to .htaccess to enable PHP error logging:

php_flag display_errors on
php_value error_reporting E_ALL

These two lines of code are equivalent to the settings in the php.ini file above. It should be noted that when modifying the .htaccess file, attention must be paid to compatibility with existing rules, otherwise it may cause other problems.

  1. Set in PHP code

In addition to the above methods, we can also turn on the error log through function calls in PHP code. PHP provides two functions, error_reporting() and ini_set(), which are used to set the error level and recording method respectively. The following is an example of enabling forced error logging through PHP code:
