php trim function is used to remove blank characters or other predefined characters on both sides of a string. Its syntax is trim(string,charlist), and the parameter string is required. Specifies the string to check.

Syntax
trim(string,charlist)
Parameters
string Required. Specifies the string to check.
charlist Optional. Specifies which characters are removed from a string.
If this parameter is omitted, all the following characters are removed:
"\0" - NULL
"\t" - Tab character
"\n" - line feed
"\x0B" - vertical tab character
"\r" - carriage return
" " - space
Return value: Returns the modified string.

Remove spaces on both sides of the string:
