php与mysql的问题

我的机子上有两个版本的mysql，一个是5.01,一个是5.5，怎样让php默认连接的是5.5的版本，而不是5.0的版本？

为何装了两个版本?既然不想用5.0直接卸载不就OK了

手工配置的apache上设置

可否用mysql不同的端口号来实现?

那个5.0是别的工具内置的，那个工具目前还在用。能说具体点儿不？

把mysql5.5的端口改了，但是默认的还是5.0

phpinfo 显示的是你的 php 使用的 mysql 客户端的版本，与 mysql 服务器版本无关

那我安装的是5.5的版本，想使用5.5这个客户端的版本该怎么办？
