Google's April 2025 Pixel Update: Gemini Live Goes Free for Pixel 9 Series
Google surprised Pixel users with an April 8th announcement: Gemini Live's voice and screen sharing capabilities are now free for all Pixel 9 series phones. Previously, these features were exclusive to Gemini Advanced subscribers. This upgrade significantly enhances the value proposition of the upcoming Pixel 9a budget phone.
As seen in Google's promotional video (above), Gemini Live with Voice allows real-time interaction with the Gemini app, analyzing both camera views and screen content. This hands-free information access is a major advancement.
While Pixel 9 Pro owners already enjoy these features via their Gemini Advanced subscription, the update makes the standard Pixel 9 more attractive. The strategic timing suggests this move is primarily aimed at boosting the Pixel 9a, launching April 10th. Offering these advanced AI features on a budget model avoids the need to bundle a costly Google One AI Premium subscription (currently the only way to access Gemini Advanced).
The cost of a year's Google One AI Premium subscription is nearly half the price of the entry-level Pixel 9a, and the standard Pixel 9 doesn't include it. By offering the features on the Pixel 9a, Google must also offer them on the Pixel 9, making this update a clever workaround.
The exclusion of Pixel 8 and older models has caused some user dissatisfaction, as noted in YouTube comments. This targeted approach, unusual for a Pixel update, creates a stronger selling point for the Pixel 9a, potentially encouraging upgrades. Conversely, it reduces the incentive for Pixel 9 Pro owners to renew their Gemini Advanced subscriptions after the initial period expires.
Will this free Gemini Live update convince you to upgrade to the Pixel 9a?

The way artificial intelligence is applied may be unexpected. Initially, many of us might think it was mainly used for creative and technical tasks, such as writing code and creating content. However, a recent survey reported by Harvard Business Review shows that this is not the case. Most users seek artificial intelligence not just for work, but for support, organization, and even friendship! The report said that the first of AI application cases is treatment and companionship. This shows that its 24/7 availability and the ability to provide anonymous, honest advice and feedback are of great value. On the other hand, marketing tasks (such as writing a blog, creating social media posts, or advertising copy) rank much lower on the popular use list. Why is this? Let's see the results of the research and how it continues to be

mPDF
mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
