The main line of Weiyan High-speed Railway is 237.3 kilometers in length, design speed is 350 kilometers per hour. The line passes through Changyi City in Weifang, Pingdu City in Qingdao, Laizhou City, Zhaoyuan City, Longkou City, Penglai District, Development Zone, Fushan District and Zhifu District in Yantai. Construction of the line started in December 2020, and static acceptance will be completed in early July 2024.
The entire line has Changyi, Huibu, Laizhou, Zhaoyuan, Longkou City, Penglai City, Yantai West, Fushan, Zhifu, Yantai South 10 stations. Among them, Huibu Station, Laizhou Station, Zhaoyuan Station, Yantai West Station and Fushan Station are five new stations.
The relevant person in charge of Shandong Weiyan High-speed Railway Company said that the Weiyan High-speed Railway has 88 bridges and 8 tunnels, of which the longest tunnel is the 1981-meter Lingshan Tunnel. At present, all projects have completed static acceptance, all equipment rooms have been put into use, and the production and living houses are ready for occupancy and have the conditions to start joint debugging and testing.
