openGemini is the open source product corresponding to Huawei Cloud Database GeminiDB.

GeminiDB is a multi-mode NoSQL database based on the cloud-native computing separation architecture. It has been widely used in the following business scenarios:

1. Huawei Cloud's own operation and maintenance business
2. Top-level new energy car companies' Internet of Vehicles business
3. Operation and maintenance platform for major Internet companies
4. IoT platform for large central state-owned enterprises

   

   - In June 2022, Huawei Cloud open sourced the GaussDB time series spatiotemporal database core.
5. In 2023, openGemini will join the open source Euler openEuler SIG-DB.

According to reports, since openGemini was open sourced in 2022, the community has developed 22 sub-projects and has received more than 1,000 GitHub Stars and more than 140 Forks. More than 100 open source enthusiasts from external companies and universities have participated in community development contributions. , more than 60 companies and units tested and implemented applications.
