News on January 30, Huawei China revealed that Tianjin China Unicom and Huawei completed China Unicom Group’s first 3CC commercial verification in the Wudao Cultural Tourism Zone, marking the region’s official entry into the 5G-A era.
The test used innovative 3.5G 200M and 2.1G 40M three-carrier aggregation technology, and the measured downlink peak rate was as high as 4011Mbps. This achievement significantly improves network performance and greatly enhances user experience. It is understood that this verification successfully proves that Tianjin China Unicom has comprehensive capabilities in 5G-A technology and is the first to apply this technology in the industry.
With the continuous development of technology and the continuous upgrading of market demand, especially the gradual transformation of video services towards cloudification, strong interactivity and ultra-high definition, the network uplink and downlink bandwidth and its deterministic experience faces new challenges. As one of the core technologies of 5G-A, 3CC carrier aggregation is the key to meeting these challenges. This technology can better adapt to various application scenarios such as the Internet of People, the Internet of Things, perception, and high-end manufacturing, and bring a qualitative leap to emerging businesses such as Internet celebrity live broadcasts, naked-eye 3D, cloud games, and XR. This cooperation between Tianjin Unicom and Huawei undoubtedly points the way for the future development of the industry.
