According to news on November 7, Loongson Zhongke plans to officially release its highly anticipated 3A6000 processor on November 28, 2023. The news was personally announced by Hu Weiwu, chairman and general manager of Loongson Zhongke. He also revealed that 9A1000 GPU is scheduled to start tape-out in Q3 2024.
According to the editor’s understanding, the Loongson 3A6000 processor showed impressive performance after a series of tests. Running at 2.5GHz, SPEC CPU 2006 base single-thread fixed score reaches 43.1 points, and floating point score reaches 54.6 points. The multi-threading performance is also quite good, with a fixed score of 155 points and a floating point score of 140 points. In addition, the measured bandwidth of the dual DDR4-3200 memory channels exceeds 42GB/s, and the measured Unixbench score exceeds 7400 points.
This performance makes the Loongson 3A6000 processor comparable to the Intel 10th generation Core quad-core processor launched in 2020. Loongson 3A6000 adopts Loongson's independent command system Dragon architecture.
