


Toyota electric vehicles add simulated manual gearbox to reshape traditional driving experience
Toyota plans to add simulated manual transmissions to future electric vehicles to provide a unique driving experience. The manual transmission simulator will have multiple functions to simulate the driving experience of traditional fuel vehicles. According to a Toyota spokesperson, although the system can provide the function of stalling due to improper clutch operation, this function may be eliminated in the final production model.
Toyota has previously set ambitious goals to sell 1.5 million electric vehicles by 2026 and another 2 million by 2030.
