Microsoft officially ends support for the second generation Surface Book, and firmware and driver updates stop
According to news on May 30, Microsoft’s second-generation Surface Book officially ended support today, which means that this device will no longer receive firmware and driver updates.
Microsoft released Surface Book in November 2017 2. This hybrid laptop continues the unique design of the first-generation product and has upgraded hardware and screens. In addition to the 13-inch starting version, Surface Book 2 also launched a 15-inch version to meet users' needs for higher performance.
According to the editor’s understanding, Surface Book 2 uses a 3:2 ratio PixelSense display with a resolution of 3240 x 2160 and supports 10-point touch function. The device is equipped with eighth-generation Intel Core i5-8350U and i7-8650U processors (the lowest configuration model is equipped with the previous generation i5-7300U). Game users can also choose NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 discrete graphics card, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR3 1866MHz memory.
With Surface Book 2, Microsoft will no longer provide new firmware and driver updates for the device. This means users will not have access to the latest feature improvements and security fixes. However, the existing Surface Book 2 can still be used and will still enjoy support for the operating system and applications.
For Surface Book 2 users, if they want longer support and updates, Microsoft recommends that they consider upgrading to the latest generation of Surface devices, such as Surface Book 3 or Surface Laptop 4, these devices offer more advanced hardware and longer support cycles.
The end of support for Microsoft’s second-generation Surface Book marks the end of a phase for the device, and Microsoft will continue to work on launching new Surface products to meet the changing needs of users.

mPDF
mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
