The iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the thinnest bezels of any smartphone, breaking the record currently held by the Xiaomi Mi 13. That's according to a leaker known as "Ice Universe," who has leaked accurate information about Apple's plans in the past.
Both iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have thinner curved bezels compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, which may result in an Apple Watch-like appearance, but if The leaker is true and the larger 6.7-inch model will have minimal bezels.
Ice Universe said in a tweet that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will "break" the 1.81mm bezel record held by the Xiaomi Mi 13, while Apple's upcoming model will have black bezels that are just 1.55mm wide. For comparison, Ice Universe provided bezel measurements for the iPhone 14 Pro (2.17mm) and the Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23 (1.95mm).
Ice Universe could be referring to the Mi 13’s chin, or the 1.61mm leak. We've reached out to them to confirm and will update if we hear back. Either way, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to still have thinner bezels.
The bezels on all four iPhone 15 models are expected to be slightly curved at the edges, similar to the iPhone 11 series, but the bezel widths of the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are not expected to differ from the iPhone 11 series. Those on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 15 series is also expected to have the same display size as last year's series.
The iPhone 15 Pro models may have a similar appearance to the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8 due to thinner bezels around the display. Rumor has it that the Pro model will also feature a titanium frame instead of stainless steel, as well as a solid volume, silence, and a power button that doesn't physically move when pressed.
Ice Universe previously shared CAD renderings and dimensions, which also suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would be unique in having a thinner camera bump and a smaller footprint.
