According to news on August 9, the latest data on the operation of national electric vehicle charging and swapping infrastructure in July 2024 released by the China Charging Alliance shows that the construction of charging facilities in my country continues to maintain strong growth momentum. Specifically, the number of public charging piles in July increased by 88,000 units compared with June, achieving a year-on-year growth of 45.2%. As of July 2024, the total number of public charging piles reported by member units in the alliance has reached 3.209 million, including 1.431 million DC charging piles and 1.778 million AC charging piles. In the past year, from August 2023 to July 2024, the average monthly number of new public charging piles was approximately 83,000. As key areas for the construction of charging facilities, ten regions including Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu have public charging piles accounting for 69.5%, demonstrating the leading position of these regions in the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. At the same time, the country's charging electricity is mainly concentrated in ten provinces including Guangdong and Jiangsu, and the electricity flows mainly to buses and passenger cars, with other types of vehicles such as sanitation logistics vehicles and taxis accounting for a smaller share.
