WordPress editing categories

In this chapter, we will learn the simple steps to edit a category in WordPress.

Here are the simple steps to edit categories in WordPress.

Step (1) - Click Posts → Categories in WordPress.

Step (2) - You can view Category 1 (Category 1 was created in WordPress - Add Category chapter of). When the cursor hovers over a category, several options appear below the category name. There are two ways to edit categories namely Edit and Quick Edit

Edit - Click on in the Categories section Edit options as shown in the following screenshot.

You can edit any required fields and click the Update button as shown in the following screen.

The Category field is the same as the WordPress - Add Category chapter.

Quick Edit - Click on the Quick Edit option in the Categories section as shown in the following screen.

Here you can only edit the name and paragraph of the category as shown in the following screen and then finally click on Update Category button.
