WordPress delete category

In this chapter, we will look at how to delete categories in WordPress.

Here are the simple steps to delete categories in WordPress.

Step (1) - Click on Posts → Categories in WordPress.

Step (2) - You can delete Category 1 (Category 1 was created in Wordpress - Add Category chapter of). When the cursor hovers over a category, several options appear below the category name. Click the Delete button, as shown below.

When you click Delete, you will receive a pop-up message asking for confirmation to delete a specific category, as shown in the screenshot below.

You can click the OK button and delete the category permanently.
