Open the original PPT document.
Click the [Office Button] and select [Save As...]->[PowerPoint Presentation]. Click [Tools]->[Compress Image] on the [Save As] dialog box.
Click [Options].
In [Compression Settings], set [Target Output] to [E-mail (96 ppi)], click OK, save the PPT, and you will find that the PPT is reduced by 1/5 even more.
