Sina Technology learned that a NIO user recently posted a car pickup content on social media. The picture of the car pickup shows that the tail logo of NIO's new car has changed from "JAC" to "JAC". into the word "Weilai".

This means that NIO’s car manufacturing qualifications have been approved and the production line switch has been completed. JAC’s production qualifications are no longer used and products have been delivered under NIO’s name.

Sina Technology asked Weilai officials to verify this information, but received no response as of press time. Weilai previously had its own factory through the acquisition of Jianghuai assets, and now it has its own production qualifications.

In October 2023, JAC Motors announced its intention to transfer assets through public listing, which attracted attention from the outside world. On December 5 of the same year, NIO stated in a Hong Kong Stock Exchange announcement that it would acquire the production equipment and assets of JAC’s first advanced manufacturing base and second advanced manufacturing base.

The production declaration information of all NIO models exposed on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the tail labels of all NIO models have been changed from the earlier "JAC" to "NIO".

In the previous information on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the companies applying for NIO models were all Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. This means that Weilai has its own factory through the acquisition of Jianghuai assets and has now begun delivering new cars with its own production qualifications.

Currently, NIO has two advanced manufacturing bases in Hefei, Anhui Province, and all eight NIO models on sale are produced in these two factories. As of the end of March 2024, NIO has delivered a total of 479,647 new cars.

The above is the detailed content of NIO's car-making qualifications have been officially approved. The new car's tail badge no longer has the word JAC. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
