Epic Games Store is about to launch on iOS and Android platforms, taking only 12% to compete with Apple and Google

According to news from this site on March 21, Epic announced today on social platform X that the Epic Games Store (EGS) will soon be launched on iOS and Android platforms.

Epic announced in the announcement: "We are coming to iOS and Android! In a true multi-platform store, all developers will get Equal and fair treatment to provide players with the best gaming experience."

Epic further explained that these "same fair terms" mean that Epic will provide the same revenue share on iOS and Android as on the PC platform. Developers will keep 88% of the revenue from their games, with Epic taking 12%. That’s far less than the 30 percent cut Apple and Google take in the App Store.

In another official Unreal Engine blog, Epic announced that EGS will be the first gaming-centric multi-platform store and will run on Android, iOS, PC and macOS . Mobile developers will benefit from the same fair terms as EGS for PC: 88/12 revenue share and the same plan, developers can also leverage their own in-app purchase payments, Epic First Run and Now On Epic to keep 100% of the revenue .
