IDC executive: China's AI mobile phones will account for more than 50% in 2027
According to news on February 20, Huo Jinjie, president of IDC China, said at the OPPO AI strategy conference that large model technology will push mobile phones into the AI era, and the share of AI mobile phones in the Chinese market will account for more than 50% by 2027.
Huo Jinjie also said that the new generation of AI mobile phones will bring hardware upgrades and cost increases for storage, screens, and imaging equipment, which will further increase smartphone ASPs.
Currently, many mobile phone manufacturers have released large AI-related models and operating systems and applied them to new products to promote the development of AI strategies.
OPPO has been deeply involved in the field of AI for many years. As early as 2020, they launched their first large AI model and continue to invest. In 2023, OPPO's independently trained Andes large model is second only to GPT-4 in the Super CLUE knowledge and encyclopedia ability rankings, and ahead of all other large models.
OPPO founder and CEO Chen Mingyong previously said that the impact of AI on the mobile phone industry in the next five years will be comparable to that of when smartphones replaced feature phones.
The above is the detailed content of IDC executive: China's AI mobile phones will account for more than 50% in 2027. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
