IT Home News on November 22, according to foreign media Wareable, Google recently passed a new patent in the United States, which shows that smart watches such as Pixel Watch are expected to be used as controllers for Google AR/VR glasses in the future.
IT House noticed from the patent diagram disclosed by Google that Google treats the user’s smart watch as a controller. When the AR/VR head display detects the user’s movements on the watch surface, the head display will automatically control the user’s smart watch. Gesture data is received and saved to a "gesture library" that will interpret the user's actions in "different ways" and convert relevant actions into command operations within the headset.
According to the patent diagram, when the user draws a "U" shape on the smart watch, the headset will automatically open the UBER application; or when the user draws a "C"-shaped gesture, the Google Calendar will be opened. The headset has built-in shortcuts that bind all 26 letters to specific functions, similar to the previous Z Launcher on the Nokia N1 tablet
