Yu Feng, President of the Central Conservatory of Music, emphasized the current development trends of artificial intelligence technology and brain science research, as well as the far-reaching social significance of interdisciplinary research on music and brain science. Before speaking, Dean Yu Feng also introduced the simulation robot designed and developed for this concert to the audience.
Yu Feng
Academician Dai Qionghai pointed out at Tsinghua University that the combination of music and technology is an inevitable development trend in the music field, which has broad social and practical significance for the innovation of the music industry. At the same time, she also elaborated on the uniqueness and importance of the intersection of music, artificial intelligence and brain science, pointing out the transformative impact of artificial intelligence technology on the music industry, and its role in the inheritance of traditional culture, industrial upgrading and achievement transformation
As an important part of the 2nd World Music Artificial Intelligence Conference, the "Future Concert" was also held at the event. This concert is an audio-visual feast of art and science presented to the audience by the World Music Artificial Intelligence Conference. The concert features "the cross-border integration of music, artificial intelligence and brain science", which is co-created by musicians and scientists and demonstrates the Central Conservatory of Music's exploration of the infinite possibilities of future music in the form of 3D music
Among the works at the concert, "Observing Oneself II: Like the Heart" is composed for brain-computer interface, expression and emotion recognition, algorithmic music, erhu, and guitar; "Continuum" is composed for the perceptual experience of Lorentz transformation ; "Emperor II - Sigang" is a multi-dimensional dialogue between "De", "Ling", "Kuxian" and electronic music; "Drizzle Path" is composed for piano, machine hearing and AI-generated vision; "Fangyuan" is Written by Zhong Ruan, AI, computer music, and generative vision.

The concert's production team is composed of composers, performers and engineers, covering a variety of cutting-edge technology forms such as artificial intelligence, brain-computer interface technology, expression and emotion recognition, AI-generated vision, computer music, virtual humans, robot dogs, etc. . Enabled by science and technology, the work provides a shocking and futuristic presentation of Confucian philosophy, the concept of space and time in physics, inner life emotions, literati poetry, multi-ethnic culture and many other themes
During the concert, Professor Wang Xiaoqin led the team of the Central Music and Brain Science Laboratory to conduct a live music brain science experiment on site. The experimental team was established by the Central Conservatory of Music and the Brain and Intelligence Laboratory of Tsinghua University. The team invited 6 subjects as audiences, recorded and displayed the subjects' EEG and physiological data in real time while watching the live performance, and will analyze the data in subsequent experiments.
The two works created by Yangyin's artificial intelligence composition system - the overture "Welcome" and "Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" are eye-catching. These two works were performed live by the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra through digital human conductor

"I think AI tools are changing the learning opportunities for college students. We believe in developing students in core courses, but more and more people also want to get a perspective of computational and statistical thinking," said University of Chicago President Paul Alivisatos in an interview with Deloitte Nitin Mittal at the Davos Forum in January. He believes that people will have to become creators and co-creators of AI, which means that learning and other aspects need to adapt to some major changes.
