First of all, I am very honored to participate in this conference, and I am very grateful for such a platform to communicate and share with colleagues. Today, on behalf of Vimax Information in Shanghai, I will talk about the understanding and implementation of the metaverse of cultural tourism in China, including Vimax’s work in building and developing the metaverse.

The Metaverse has become popular in 2021, which can be said to be the first year of the Metaverse. In 2022, the Metaverse continues to attract attention from all walks of life. The three-year plan for the innovation and development of the Metaverse industry on September 8, 2023 proposed to promote the development of the Metaverse industry through measures such as building advanced Metaverse technology and industrial systems. The proposal of this plan not only provides us with policy guidance and support, but also raises questions for us: How to understand the Metaverse? What are the important factors driving its development? What key technologies are involved, and how is their value reflected in the business world?
In recent years, the cultural tourism consumer market has been growing year by year, and the government’s support for cultural tourism has also been increasing day by day. During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays alone, the number of domestic travelers across the country reached 826 million, and domestic tourism revenue reached 753.43 billion yuan. The cultural tourism market is hot. In terms of optimizing the supply of cultural tourism products, providing a combination of reality and reality, expanding the application of immersive cultural tourism scenarios, guiding and cultivating consumer networks, experiential consumption, and smart consumption, Metaverse has attracted more and more attention.
The application scenarios of the Metaverse have become increasingly clear in the past few years, mainly covering social interaction, digital asset trading, virtual work and education, games and entertainment. The combination of the Metaverse and the cultural tourism industry is by no means limited to the use of AI, AR and other 3D rendering equipment to promote the publicity and promotion of scenic spot projects, but also the use of the Metaverse and multi-dimensional digital virtual environments to create a pioneering cultural and creative ecology and unique Data resources, build a tourism virtual world that can exist widely and develop freely, and realize all-round inspection and innovation in scenic spots, souvenirs, virtual characters, game spaces, etc., from the establishment of standardized and standardized data operations to the deepening of digital mining such as artificial intelligence With the support of tools and the derivation of content IP, we can build a system of ecological, cultural, cultural and cultural metaverse.
Computing power is the new productivity in the digital economy era. William, the 2018 Nobel Prize winner in economics, defined computing power in the translation of the computing process. With the development of 5G, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and AR, the importance of computing power is increasing day by day. At this stage, the computing power scale includes three parts: basic computing power, intelligent computing power and super computing power. At present, computing power is mainly used in general computing, artificial intelligence and scientific engineering fields, and the requirements for chip hardware and computing power levels are different.
The network environment and computing power investment provide a solid guarantee for the development of computing power. The specific applications of the consumer industry and the scale of computing power promote each other. Currently, there are mature platforms based on the combination of digital technology and humanities in the world, such as Google Arts and Culture, which is the world's first large-scale comprehensive museum resource sharing platform. More than 2,000 museums and art galleries share content on the same platform, including browsing, searching, and other topics. The biographical database led by Harvard University records the data of historical figures preserved in historical materials and uses computer technology to collect and manage data so that students can conduct cross-analysis of data on figures, groups of people, regions, official positions, etc. It has now been 336,000 people have been included.
Below we share some cases. There are also cases in the domestic cultural and museum field that integrate humanities and digital technology. The case we are looking at now is "Viewing Shanghai with the Archives" to explore Shanghai's urban memory. We have been exploring and building this project with the Shanghai Archives for nearly three years. Now version 1.0 has been launched. Based on the entire big data collection of the archives, it has 170 million pieces of online data for digitization and data structure analysis. Based on the changes of our city, the history of the city, and the context of the city, we will promote it through the establishment of a digital platform and database.
At the same time, our knowledge graph and the association of knowledge data are also being established. Cases of applying artificial intelligence to humanities research include Dong Qichang’s digital humanities and the Song and Yuan Xuedan knowledge graph systems. On the one hand, the main application direction lies in image recognition through machine learning, thereby assisting researchers in their research. On the other hand, complex semantic relationships are extracted and a new knowledge graph is established to provide visual display, interactive browsing, semantic query and other functions.
Zhongchuan Cultural Tourism and Weimai Information have in-depth cooperation on an immersive cultural tourism and cultural museum project that integrates virtual and real events to explore new scenarios of cultural tourism consumption. Currently being implemented include Guangfulin Heritage Park night tour improvement project, Luoyang Yingtianmen immersive The theater experience space is based on the integration of digital technology and art, and is an audience-oriented experiential and exploratory development through the interpretation of immersive dance. China Transmission Culture and Tourism and Weimai Information will have more domestic leading IP and immersive projects in the future, which will be gradually launched at the end of this year and next year. The future development direction of the cultural tourism metaverse can be divided into four areas: more popular virtual museums, more interactive display methods, diversified digital exhibits, and richer cross-border cooperation.
