[CNMO News] Recently, Intel released the first Meteor Lake processor platform using Intel 4 process technology at the Intel on Technology Innovation Conference.
Meteor Lake adopts a separated module architecture, dividing the processor into computing module, IO module, SoC module and graphics module. Each module is connected through Foveros 3D packaging technology to achieve architectural innovation. The computing module uses Intel 4 process, the IO module integrates Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 5.0, and the NPU integrated in the SoC module will accelerate AI calculations.
Meteor Lake adopts a 3D high-performance hybrid architecture, consisting of a performance core, an energy efficiency core and a low-power energy efficiency core. Through separate modular design, it supports different process standards and further improves performance and power efficiency. In addition, Meteor Lake will be Intel’s first chip using the Intel 4 process.
