The World University Underwater Robot Competition is committed to building a platform for Chinese and foreign young students to communicate in the field of underwater robot innovation. Since it was first held in August 2022, it has successfully created a new field and new track for scientific and technological innovation for college students, further stimulated the innovation enthusiasm of young students around the world, and promoted talent training and technological innovation in the field of underwater robots.

This competition brings together people from Tsinghua University in China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Southampton in the UK, Bauman University of Technology in Russia, Siberian Federal University, Far Eastern Federal University, Nevelsky State Maritime University, and Mahidol University in Thailand 97 teams from 28 colleges and institutions competed in three tracks: autonomous underwater robots (AUV), remote-controlled underwater robots (ROV), and creative concepts. The total number of participants exceeded 700.

During the competition, Sino-Russian robot technology innovation and Sino-Korean robot technology exchange activities will also be carried out. Teachers and students of the competition will have face-to-face learning and communication with international high-level experts, and learn from each other. (over)
