(Global TMT, June 14, 2023) Oracle announced that it plans to develop powerful generative artificial intelligence services for global enterprises. Oracle will collaborate with Cohere, a leading enterprise artificial intelligence platform, to provide local generative artificial intelligence services to help enterprises automate end-to-end business processes, improve decision-making and enhance customer experience. Built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and unique supercluster capabilities, Oracle Generative AI Services will span applications to infrastructure and are designed to deliver high levels of security, performance and value.
Cohere will utilize OCI for the training, building and deployment of generative artificial intelligence models, which is achieved in collaboration. OCI is uniquely positioned to run AI workloads as it provides high-performance and low-cost GPU cluster technology with low latency and high-bandwidth RDMA networks in the cloud. This will speed up the training of large language models (LLM) while reducing costs.
Oracle, by embedding Cohere’s language models into its business applications, enables customers to quickly and securely deploy generative artificial intelligence to solve their most pressing business challenges.
