After adding a new AirTag to Find My Network, users will now see a more detailed pop-up detailing how the AirTag should be used.
In previous iOS versions, a simpler Register AirTag to your Apple ID message was displayed, with no copy regarding AirTag abuse. The message contains the user's Apple ID, phone number, and a brief message stating "This will be associated with the personal information you provided to Apple."
In iOS 15.4 beta 4, a new The AirTag is linked to your Apple ID message. In addition to the user's phone number and email address, include a copy of the following:
AirTag is only used to track items that belong to you. In many parts of the world, using AirTags to track someone without their consent is a crime. AirTags are designed to be detected by victims and enable law enforcement to request identifying information about the owner.
Start with Straightforward It's clear from the warning message that Apple wants to prevent stalking cases from happening in the first place. But if they do happen, it tries to make it easier for people to identify when unknown AirTags or other Find My-enabled devices might be tracking them.
The Me tab in the Find My app will be updated with more granular notification configuration links. In place of the Project Security alert switch, iOS 15.4 beta 4 includes direct links to Customize Find My Notifications and Customize Tracking Notifications in Custom Settings → Notifications.
In previous iOS versions, disabling the Project Security Alert switch was met with a visible warning. This warning lets users know that disabling item security alerts means you will no longer receive notifications when an unknown item is discovered moving with you.
In iOS 15.4 beta 4 , Apple has created a new tracking notification panel in Settings → Notifications and will not provide such warnings when disabling these notifications. This notification panel appears in addition to the Find pane in Notifications preferences. It's unclear whether Apple will add additional settings and potentially update warnings when tracking notifications are disabled through the Settings app. Keep in mind that Apple says it will continue to enhance AirTags and Find My Network tracking over time.
About a year ago, Apple added two additional U.S. Siri voices in iOS 14.5 beta 6, for a total of four voices. Yesterday's iOS 15.4 beta 4 release added a fifth new US voice, accessible through Settings → Siri and Search → Siri Voice.
Apple is also adding Dutch voice recognition for Siri on HomePod in beta 4.
