Microsofts 3rd Party Widgets for Windows 11

During its Build 2022 developer conference, Microsoft confirmed that the Store in Windows 11 may soon let you download third-party widgets. Web widgets, or mini-apps, are only accessible through the Windows Widget Board and provide at-a-glance information, such as headlines or weather updates from Microsoft MSN.

Widgets are one of the flagship features in the operating system, and users can launch it by swiping from the left side of the screen or pressing Windows W on the keyboard.

Microsoft has confirmed that developers will be able to submit their widgets in the Microsoft Store later this year. Once submitted by developers, users will be able to download widgets from the store and find them next to native widgets on the widget board.

Currently, the Widgets board can only give you details from native apps such as Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Stores, Movies & TV, and more.

Microsoft has been promoting the Widget Board in Windows 11 ads, and the feature may sound useful on paper, but the main problem with its current implementation is that there aren't many widgets available.

Microsoft doesn’t want users to forget about the widget panel, and is developing a third-party API to help developers submit their widgets in the Store. At a session at Build 2022, Microsoft also showed off a new widget board that houses all third-party widgets, including Slack.

As you can see in the screenshot above, third-party widgets can allow users to access their services directly from the board. For example, there's a Slack-like widget that lets you view messages from different channels or conversations. Widgets like this can provide a more diverse and potentially useful widget panel experience.

Microsoft has apparently reached out to the third party and has been sharing details on how developers can submit widgets through the Microsoft Store.

mPDF

mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
