Excel charts are divided into independent charts and what?

Excel charts are divided into independent charts and embedded charts.

Charts can exist in two ways in a worksheet:

Embedded charts are together with the data in the worksheet, or together with other embedded charts.

Chart worksheets are specific worksheets that contain only individual charts.

Embedded charts

Embedded charts are the best choice when you want the chart to be part of the worksheet, together with data or other charts. The Chart object represents each embedded chart and is contained in the ChartObject object.

Each Excel worksheet has a ChartObjects collection that contains each embedded chart in the worksheet. In order to add a new embedded chart in the worksheet, add a ChartObject object in the collection. The syntax is:

WorksheetObject.ChartObjects.Add(Left,Top,Width,Height)

Among them, the parameters Left and Top specify the position of the upper left corner of the chart, and the parameters Width and Height specify Chart size. All 4 parameters are in points. This method returns a reference to the newly created ChartObject object, using the Chart property to reference the contained chart.
