服务器是用来干什么的？也能保存数据吗？那么和数据库的区别是什么？

比如用户的头像有的人说是保存在服务器上的我不懂服务器是什么东西啊在我脑海里没有概念我知道数据库是保存东西的好像数据库保存不了图片吧如果服务器也能保存东西那么要数据库干什么呢？

1、数据库是能存图片的（二进制形式），但是一般不会有人那么做，太占空间了。
2、一般的做法是把图片单独放在一个服务器上，把图片的路径存在数据库里。
3、服务器有很多种的：数据库服务器，Apache（web服务器）等。
4、以Apache+php+mysql做说明：
客户端浏览器------》请求-----》Apache服务器-----》与php交流------》php动态调用MySQL数据库（增删改查等）

服务器就像筷子   而数据库就像是一盘菜   网站程序就像人
人们用筷子夹盘子里的菜来吃
至于说图片保存在服务器上确切说应该是保存在服务器主机上（如果有错希望大神帮忙纠正）
楼主说的服务器可以保存东西  那要数据库来做什么？数据库是用来保存数据让我们来直接调用的如果楼主再学习一段应该就自然而然的明白了
就算是图片保存在服务器上也会把他的地址保存到数据库里再通过地址来调用
