相干phpmyadmin安装的疑问

有关phpmyadmin安装的疑问
本人新手，现在想配置本地apache+php+phpmyadmin+mysql的环境，目前遇到问题。
首先我可以确定mysql安装正确。
php+apache的安装查资料后，设定端口为8088，在编辑了/apache24/htdocs/index.html后，能在http://localhost:8088中现实php的版本信息。我自己感觉应该是装好了。

目前碰到的问题是phpmyadmin的安装。
看过网上众多教程之后，我下载了最新版本4.4.9的phpmyadmin并解压放在/apache24/htdocs/phpmyadmin文件夹下。但是打开http://localhost/phpmyadmin并没有出现phpmyadmin的页面。
我试过的方法有：
1）对phpmyadmin整个文件夹完全不做任何设置
2）将config.sample.inc.php文件更名为config.inc.php，但不做任何设置
3）将/phpmyadmin/libraries文件夹中的config.default.php复制到/phpmyadmin文件夹下，改名为config.inc.php，并做一些设置，如$cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] = 'http://localhost/phpmyadmin/';

求问，如何能看到phpmyadmin页面，我的设置有什么问题？
