The 12th Criminal Court of the Southern District Court of Seoul, presided over by Judge Kim Jong-un, made a first-instance judgment on Mr. Kang, 51,: five years in prison. In 2023, Haru Invest suddenly stopped all withdrawal services, causing Mr. Kang's virtual assets to be withdrawn by about 6.4 billion won. Mr. Lee is currently being tried for suspected misappropriation of about 1.4 trillion won of virtual currency from 16,000 users including Mr. Kang. Mr. Kang was arrested for intention to commit an assault.
