Escape from Tarkov's 1.0 Launch and Upcoming Patches Detailed
Today's TarkovTV livestream unveiled a roadmap outlining at least four major patches before Escape from Tarkov's anticipated 1.0 launch in late 2025. While no specific date was given, this marks a seemingly official confirmation of the game's progress towards full release. Previous release date estimations, such as late 2024, have been superseded.
A notable aspect of the roadmap is the apparent absence of a wipe before the 1.0 launch. Patches are planned through August, typically the timeframe for summer wipes, but the final patch listed (0.16.9) doesn't suggest a wipe is included. Developers remained ambiguous when directly questioned on this point, hinting at a potential launch without a preceding wipe.
The livestream showcased the upcoming Terminal map, offering video footage of previously seen locations and a first look at in-game cutscenes and NPCs.
Beyond the launch timeline, significant optimization updates were announced, encompassing improvements to nearly every map, including an Interchange expansion in the August patch (hopefully with improved extraction points!). A promised audio overhaul is slated for the June patch, and while past audio reworks have yielded mixed results, the showcased preview looked promising.
Other updates include new weapons, AK animation updates, numerous quality-of-life improvements, and the usual array of Tarkov patch adjustments. The relatively smaller amount of new content is expected, given the focus on optimization and improvements ahead of the 1.0 release; major content additions are anticipated for the launch patch.
The livestream also confirmed the upcoming Steam release of Escape From Tarkov: Arena, following its Epic Games Store launch. Nikita, the game's lead developer, confirmed that the main Tarkov game will eventually come to Steam, though not in the immediate future.
Escape From Tarkov Promo Codes
Several promo codes were released during the livestream, offering free in-game items. These codes must be redeemed through the Tarkov launcher, and rewards are delivered via in-game mail. Redeem them quickly, as they typically expire within a few hours.

New York Times Connections game tips and answers (Friday, April 18) Hello everyone, connecters! Happy weekend! I mentioned that this is WrestleMania weekend the other day, so today and tomorrow I may be watching a lot of wrestling matches. It should be very interesting! Oh, of course, I will definitely watch the latest episode of The Last of Us tomorrow. I wrote an article about the key changes made from The Last of Us 2 in Season 1 and why I thought it was a good decision (although I had some reservations initially): The first major change in Season 2 of The Last of Us appears to be to protect Abby’s cast I'm not worried at all about the next episode? Aside from that, I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend because I'm alone. Maybe I should

Nintendo announced on its official website today that pre-orders for Switch 2 in the United States will officially start on April 24, delaying by two weeks from the original planned April 9. Two weeks ago, Nintendo released the Switch 2. A few days later, pre-orders in the United States were suspended due to Trump's tariff policies. Now, it's all over (at least for the time being). Apart from the pre-order announcement, the biggest news is that after weeks of speculation, the price of the console has not changed. The Switch 2 will be available in the United States at a price of $449.99, including the Mario Kart World package at $499.99. Given the chaos surrounding U.S. tariffs in recent weeks, it is reasonable to expect a rise in console prices, but Nintendo sets
