Despite the higher price point, particularly the $80 price tag for Mario Kart World, Nintendo remains firm on its pricing strategy. The $450 Switch 2 price places it above competitors like the PS5 and Xbox Series S, but Nintendo's confidence stems from the Switch's past success.
While tariff reductions have occurred, impacting console production in various countries, including China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Japan, these changes haven't affected the US pricing of the Switch 2. Consumer pressure to lower prices has been unsuccessful. The decision now rests with consumers.
