Two Point Museum: A Guide to Curator Class and Star Acquisition

Two Point Museum offers relaxed gameplay, letting you create your ideal museum at your own pace. However, unlocking all the game's content requires leveling up your Curator Class by earning Stars. This guide explains how.

Understanding Curator Class

Your Curator Class represents your overall progress as the museum administrator. Each Star earned in any museum contributes to your Curator Class level. Leveling up rewards you with museum cash (for your current museum), Kudosh (to unlock universal items), and often new decorations or utilities.

Crucially, each museum has a maximum Star rating tied to your Curator Class. Focusing on a single museum won't significantly raise your Curator Class; you must develop all five museums, rotating between them as their maximum Star ratings increase. Earn a few Stars in each museum, raise your Curator Class, increase the maximum Stars attainable, and repeat.

Earning Stars in Story Mode

Story Mode presents five chapters per museum, each awarding a Star upon completion. Chapters often involve multiple objectives. The circle around the Star icon on the objective tracker shows your progress. Later chapters unlock only when your Curator Class is high enough. While you can continue playing, you won't earn progress until your Curator Class improves.

Epilogues: After completing a museum's fifth chapter, you enter the Epilogue, functioning similarly to Sandbox Mode. You can earn additional Stars in completed museums (if your Curator Class allows) by adding exhibits, increasing profits, and optimizing your museum.

Earning Stars in Sandbox Mode

Sandbox Mode is more open-ended, but Stars are still earned through objectives. These objectives focus on your museum's financial success, requiring you to meet profit targets, make key purchases, and expand your collection.

Unlocking New Maps in Sandbox Mode: Progressing in Sandbox Mode also requires developing all five museums. Instead of story objectives, you unlock museums by purchasing them with Kudosh. Save Kudosh from Star rewards or earn extra Kudosh by completing your Sticker Book to expand your museum empire.
