How to Use ssp.class.php to Combine Tables
DataTables, a jQuery plugin for presenting tabular data, offers an example for joining MySQL tables. However, the SSP library (ssp.class.php) doesn't natively support joins or subqueries.
To overcome this, you can leverage a subquery in the $table definition:
$table = <<<EOT ( SELECT a.id, a.name, a.father_id, b.name AS father_name FROM table a LEFT JOIN table b ON a.father_id = b.id ) temp EOT;
Ensure the column names are unique, or use aliases with 'AS'. Also, remove backticks from instances of "FROM $table" in ssp.class.php:
FROM $table
Please note that there are alternative solutions like the enhanced ssp.class.php from the github.com/emran/ssp repository, which adds JOIN support.
