Amazon Ads gets renewed AI-powered video generation capabilities

While Amazon Ads has been using generative AI for a while now, there is always room for improvement in this field, and they have just added a new AI video generator, as well as a live image capability. The new features come at no cost and can be used to create videos based on a single image.

According to Amazon, the video generator "curates custom AI-generated videos tailored to a product's distinct selling proposition and features, leveraging Amazon's unique insights to vividly bring a product story to life" and everything it needs is a single image of the product in question. The live image feature, on the other hand, comes as part of the new AI-powered image generatorand also aims produce visuals that improve ad performance.

A recent study by Wyzowl, quoted by Amazon, revealed that no less than 89% of consumers want to see more video content from their favorite brands. Unsurprisingly, the merchants often bump into the time and cost barriers, which are now being crushed by AI-powered tools like Amazon's new video and image generators. For now, these tools are both in beta stage and can only be tried out by select US advertisers.
