Disk partitioning is a crucial step in computer management that can effectively organize and manage data. This article is carefully written by PHP editor Shinichi, and will introduce in detail the operation process of using the partition assistant to perform disk partitioning. If you are looking for a clear and comprehensive guide on disk partition operations, feel free to continue reading below.
Download the free Partition Assistant, install it on your computer, and then start it. You will see the main interface below. You can also see that the C partition is 15.01GB and the F partition is 20.89GB.
Now shrink (i.e. compress) the F drive to 15.90GB, right-click on the F drive and select the [Adjust/Move Partition] option in the pop-up menu, and then you will see In the window as shown in the picture, drag the left handle to the right to reduce the size of the F drive to 15.90GB.
After clicking on the above picture to confirm the position, you will return to the main interface. At the same time, you will see an extra unallocated space of 4.99GB behind the C drive.
Right-click the C drive and select the [Adjust/Move Partition] option in the pop-up menu.
Then a pop-up window will appear, drag the right handle to the right until the C drive is adjusted to 20GB.
After clicking OK, return to the main interface. Looking at the list box, the size of the C drive is 20GB, and the size of the F drive is adjusted to 15.90GB. In the [Operations waiting to be performed] on the left side of the main interface, you can see that there are two operations that need to be performed: one is to adjust and move the (F:) partition, and the other is to adjust the size of the (C:) partition.
You will find a [Submit] button on the toolbar, please click it, and then you will see the dialog box in Figure 7 below. Click the [Execute] button to apply these two operations to the real disk.
After clicking Execute, the Partition Assistant may prompt you to restart your computer and perform these operations in PreOS Mode. Click [Yes] to perform these operations in Restart Mode. But the restart mode has an English interface. The following picture shows the execution status of the Partition Assistant in restart mode:
After the execution in restart is completed, the size of the C drive has been adjusted to 20GB. .
(Not all operations need to be performed in restart mode, only certain operations are required.)
Partition Assistant's partition resizing operation is relatively flexible, and its other functions such as copying disks , copy partitions, etc. can help you manage the disks in your computer more easily.
