WordPress background
In this chapter we will look at background image, background color and background opacity.
Step (1) - Click Appearance → Background.
Step (2) - Display the following page, which displays the background image part.
Step (3) - No picture is selected for the background. If you want to do this, click Select Image. You get the following page.
Here you have two options to upload images.
- Upload Files
- Media Library
Step (4) - Upload Files - When you When you click to upload the file, the following screen will appear. Select the file from the desktop and click Select Image if you are happy with the image.
Step (5) - Media Library - When you click on the media library, the following page will appear. Select files from the WordPress media library, which means that if you have updated your images, you can select any of them directly.
After selecting an image, on the right side, you will get several options -
Edit Image - When you click on this image, you will be taken to another page where you can edit the scaled image, dimensions, cropped image and thumbnail settings, etc. As shown in the figure below, to make changes, please click to save, and then click to update.
Delete Permanently - Click this button if you do not want your image to be in the database.
URL - Enter the image URL in this box.
Title- If you want to make any changes to the title of your image, you can do so here.
#Caption- This is a section where you can give a brief description of your image.
Alt text - Provides alternative text for images that users can use during searches.
Description - A little description about your image.
Step (6) - Click Colors → Background Color on the same page. Change the background color accordingly. Background OpaqueNot available for all themes. Theme customization is different for every theme we use. It goes from topic to topic.
