WordPress add tags

tags are small pieces of information attached to the main content or post for identification. It tells visitors what the post is about. If tags are mentioned correctly, it helps to find the content easily.

Here are the steps to add tags in WordPress.

Step (1) - Click Posts → Tags in WordPress.

Step (2) - Display the label page.

The following are details of the fields on the label.

• Name - Enter a name for the tag.

• Slug - Choose words to describe your message. It is specified in the tag URL.

• Description - Add a brief description of the tag. It will appear when you hover your mouse over the marker.

After filling in all the information about the tag, click the Add New Tag button.

Step (3) - The newly created tag will appear on the right side of the page as shown in the screenshot below.
