How to add a new product model

Before turning on the device function, you need to confirm whether the following conditions are met:

- Whether Is the hardware manufacturer

- Is the service account certified by WeChat

If the above conditions are met, you can continue. If you don’t have a service account or you are an individual developer who wants to quickly learn about the functions, you can use a public account to test it.

After opening the above link in your computer browser, use your mobile phone’s WeChat to scan to open the test account. Select "Device Function Interface" in "Function Services>Device Function" and click "Enable".

Step 1 Open the device function plug-in

If it is a service account that has passed WeChat authentication, you can directly Select to enable the "Device Function" plug-in on the "Add Function Plug-in" page.

Step 2 Add product model

Each equipment manufacturer can add multiple different product models, and each product has its own unique icon. Default name, function description, capability set, etc. Click "Add Product" to add a new product model. After filling in the "Basic Information", declare the capability set of the product model based on the actual WeChat capabilities used. WeChat interacts with the device based on the registration information here. After successful addition, the product status is "Uncertified", and the product in this status only has 100 device instances. That is, this model can only obtain a maximum of 100 device instance numbers during development and debugging. Only after certification can you obtain more authorization quotas on demand.

Test account to add products

If you are using a public account to test the account, open it after Click "Settings" after "Device Function Interface" to add the product model. The operation process is the same as step 2 above.

Summary

At this point, the new product model has been added. The new product number is displayed below the product name. For example, "10275" as shown in the above step 2 is the number of the newly added product.
