According to news from this site on April 9, Imagination Technologies, a leading RISC-V company, laid off 20% of its staff in November last year and has not stopped moving forward. It recently launched the APXM-6200 CPU.
A promotional video is attached to this site as follows:
APXM-6200 CPU is a 64-bit application processor with an 11-stage dual-channel pipeline (11-stage, dual-issue pipeline), compared with similar CPUs already on the market, the performance of APXM-6200 is 65% higher than Arm Cortex-A53 and 20% higher than Coretx-A510.
In terms of performance density, APXM-6200 has reached 2.5 times that of Cortex-A53.
Customers can choose single-core, dual-core and quad-core configurations based on their performance needs, and achieve maximum system efficiency and cache consistency through per-core power consumption control. The processor supports 128-bit RISC-V vector extensions for artificial intelligence tasks.
The APXM-6200 supports Android and Linux and can be used in devices such as smart TVs, smart home hubs, and digital signage. When paired with an Imagination GPU, the APXM-6200 doubles bus utilization and reduces memory traffic by half.
