Intel launches PS series of Core/Core Ultra processors for the edge market in LGA package

According to news from this site on April 9, Intel today released the Core/Core Ultra processor PS series for edge and embedded applications at Embedded World 2024. Both series of processors come in LGA packages and are available as SoCs based on mobile processors.

The Core Ultra processor PS series is Meteor Lake PS, which uses the LGA1851 socket and includes two design power consumption versions of 45W and 15W.

The highest model is Intel Core Ultra 7 165HL (45W). This model contains 6 P cores, 8 E cores and 2 LPE cores. The maximum turbo frequency of the P core 5.0GHz.

In the 15W design power version, Intel introduces the first Ultra 3 processor - Intel Core Ultra 3 105UL. Like the previous regular product series Intel Core Ultra 5 115U, it adopts a 2 4 2 core design, with a maximum P core frequency of 4.2GHz and a 48EU core display.

The Core processor PS series is Raptor Lake PS, which can be regarded as an upgraded version of the Alder Lake PS series processors previously reported on this site, also including 45W and 15W power consumption for both designs.

This series of products also adopts a new naming method. The 45W version is generally named Intel Core x 1x0HL, and the 15W version is named Intel Core x 1x0UL or Intel U30xL.

Intel stated that compared to the 14th generation Intel Core desktop processor, the PS series Core Ultra processor has 5.02 times the image classification inference performance; and the PS series Core processor has 5.02 times the image classification inference performance compared to the 13th generation Intel Core desktop processor. The machine processor has 2.57 times the graphics performance.
