After Duke Wen came to the throne, he sent people to look for Jie Zitui many times, but he was rejected all times. In desperation, Duke Wen set fire to the mountain in order to force Jie Zitui to show up. However, Jie Zitui would rather be burned to death than leave the mountain. In order to commemorate Jie Zitui, later generations designated this day as Qingming Festival to pay homage to him.
