At the same time, its overseas sales also reached 1.208 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 18.8%, showing strong overseas market expansion capabilities. In the field of new energy vehicles, SAIC Group sold 1.123 million new energy vehicles last year, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, ranking second among domestic car companies in sales.
Regarding the future, Zhao Aimin, deputy general manager of SAIC International, revealed the group’s overseas sales target: reaching 1.35 million vehicles in 2024 and further increasing to 1.5 million vehicles in 2025. He also introduced that SAIC will take advantage of the 100-year history of the MG brand to carry out brand promotion based on sales and launch 14 new energy vehicles globally in the next two years. At present, all of SAIC's new energy vehicle products have been upgraded to "global vehicles". At the same time, high-end brands such as Zhiji Auto and Feifan Auto will gradually enter the global market, demonstrating SAIC's global strategic layout.
