Intel and EDA giant Cadence have reached a multi-year cooperation: jointly develop IP for 18A and other nodes and optimize SoC design
Intel Foundry Services (IFS) and electronic design company Cadence Electronics announced a multi-year strategic cooperation agreement. The cooperation will focus on Intel 18A and other nodes to jointly promote technology research and development to Accelerate the progress of third-party customer SoC projects.
Cadence and Synopsys are considered the two giants in the EDA field, with more than 30 years of professional experience. They also provide hardware and IP products to third parties.
Intel IFS and Cadence will jointly develop a series of key custom IP, optimized design processes and technologies based on Intel 18A node. Joint customers of both parties can simultaneously optimize performance, power, area, bandwidth and latency for demanding AI/HPC/advanced mobile applications.
This cooperation provides Intel IFS with a product portfolio from another large IP supplier, can provide foundry customers with a richer set of basic design tools, processes and interface IP, which can shorten the time to market of advanced nodes and packages, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of IFS.
Cadence President and CEO Anirudh Devgan said the parties have further strengthened their partnership with Intel IFS through a major multi-year strategic agreement. The agreement is designed to drive Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy and accelerate mutual customer success by delivering design software and leading IP across multiple Intel advanced nodes. Stuart Pann, Intel’s senior vice president and general manager of IFS, said they are pleased to expand their partnership with Cadence to jointly develop IFS’s IP ecosystem and provide customers with more choices. By combining Cadence's leading IP and advanced design solutions, Intel will help customers produce large-scale, high-performance and energy-efficient SoCs on its leading process technologies. According to previous reports on this site, Intel reached a similar cooperation with Synopsys, another major EDA manufacturer, in August last year to expand the IP library of Intel 3/18A nodes. The above is the detailed content of Intel and EDA giant Cadence have reached a multi-year cooperation: jointly develop IP for 18A and other nodes and optimize SoC design. mPDF
mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
