Hybrid File System
Hybrid File System is the CD file system used by Apple's MAC machines. It does not support other operating systems such as DOS and Windows 9x/NT.
1, HFS file system concept
Hierarchical File System (HFS) is a file system on Mac OS developed by Apple Computer. It was originally designed for use on floppy disks and hard disks, and for use on read-only media such as CD-ROMs.
2, HFS file system history
HFS first appeared on September 17, 1985, as a new file system on Macintosh computers. It replaces the Macintosh File System (MFS), a flat file system used only in earlier Mac models. Because Macintosh computers generate more data than other common file systems, such as FAT used by DOS or the original Unix file system, can store. Apple Computer developed a new and more adaptable file system rather than adopting existing specifications. For example, HFS allows file names to be up to 31 characters in length, supports metadata and dual-branch (each file's data and resource branches are stored separately) files. Although HFS, like most other file systems, is considered a proprietary format, it is the only one that provides a good universal solution for most recent operating systems to access HFS-formatted disks. In 1998, Apple Computer released HFS Plus, which improved HFS's inefficiency in disk space address location and added other improvements. The current version of Mac OS still supports HFS, but starting from Mac OS X, HFS volumes cannot be used for startup.
3. HFS file system structure
The hierarchical file system divides a volume into many 512-byte logical blocks. These logical blocks are combined into allocation blocks, and depending on the size of the volume, an allocation block can contain one or more logical blocks. HFS encodes address allocation blocks using 16-bit values, with a maximum limit of 65536. An HFS volume consists of the following five structures: 1. Logical blocks 0 and 1 are startup blocks, containing system startup information, such as the system name and shell (usually Finder) file loaded at startup. 2. Logical block 2 contains the Master Directory Block (MDB). 3. Logical block 3 is the startup block of the volume bitmap and is used to track the usage status of allocated blocks. 4. The total directory file is a B*-tree containing all file records, stored in the directory in the volume. 5. The extension overflow file is another B*-tree, which is used to store the allocation block corresponding information of additional extension records that have filled three extensions in the total directory file.
Apple devices are different from domestic devices in that they can play videos smoothly without complicated conversions. They only support converted H264 mp4 and mkv formats.
.
After downloading the video, use this mediacoder to convert the video. This is very professional, many people are using it, and the resolution can also be selected. By the way, the first-generation touch is 480*320, and the second-generation touch can be used 640*480!

This converter requires you to open a web page for confirmation at first before you can use it. As for subsequent support or donations, it will be turned off directly! This does not require a registration code, just click on the official website to confirm and you can use it!
Use this to transfer it to iTunes and then transfer it to iPod touch! However, after using it myself, I found that after converting the .mkv format, the picture and sound will not match. I guess you don’t have many mkv formats~ After all, this format is not commonly used!
There are no viruses in the website! Don't worry!
Music and videos are added to iTunes first, then synchronized with iPod, and then they can be imported into iPod!
Steps: File (upper left corner of iTunes) → Add files to the library, and then select various music and video files to be added to the iPod~! !
The built-in player of iphone only supports H.264 encoded mp4 and MOV format videos, which is very inconvenient to use in practice. Therefore, it is generally recommended to install a third-party player, such as Oplayer, avplayer, Mplyaer, Goodplayer , so that the commonly used videos in AVI, RMVB, mp4, FLV and other formats that we download online can be played without conversion.
How to import videos to iPhone using PP Assistant:
Method 1. Directly import into the device’s built-in player
1. Since the iOS built-in player only supports mov, mp4, and m4v format videos, if the format does not match the video before we import it, we cannot directly import it to the machine for viewing. We can use the [Toolbox] of PP Assistant --【Video Conversion】.
2. After opening the video conversion tool, click the "Add" button to add the video, select the corresponding video format and device on the left, set the path to save after conversion, and click the "Start Conversion" button.
3. After the conversion is successful, connect the device to PP Assistant, click [Video]--[Video]--click Import under the device bar to import the converted video.
4. After the import is completed, open [Video] directly on your iPhone/iPad to play the video.
Method 2. Directly import third-party players
1. If you think the conversion is troublesome, you can install a third-party player tool to directly import and play. Now search for ‘Video Player’ in the resource bar of PP Assistant and take the universal player as an example.
2. After the installation is completed, connect the device to the PP Assistant, click [Program] under the device column---find 'Universal Video Player'--the magnifying glass button on the right--click to open the document.
3. Click the [Import] button to directly add local videos and import them.
To customize SMS ringtones, your iPhone must be jailbroken. The software you need is 91 Mobile Assistant.
1: Select a piece of intercepted music in MP3 format, not too long, preferably within 35 seconds.
2: Open iTunes on your computer. Select "Preferences" in "Edit". Click "Import Settings" in the pop-up window, and select "AIFF Encoder" from the drop-down bar of the dialog box that pops up again. Keep pressing "OK" again.
3: Add the MP3 music just selected to the database. Right-click again and select "Create AIFF Version". At this time, the computer will beep and it will be completed in about 2 seconds.
4: On your computer, see C:\Documents and Settings\ASUS\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music. Note: Depending on the brand of personal computer, the English name of the ASUS location in this path is also different. You have found the MP3 format music you just converted, and now you will see that it is in aif format.
5: Right-click it and select Rename. Change the suffix aif to caf. In this way we have created a sound file in caf format. Because all sound files on the iPhone use this format. Includes the text message sounds we want to replace.
6: Open 91 mobile assistant. Select "File Management" on the left. Under this path are all the sound files in the iPhone: /System/Library/Audio/UISounds.
7: sms-recieved1.caf to sms-recieved6.caf are the 6 text message ringtones that come with the phone. Select a ringtone and rename the sound file we just converted according to its name. The two names must be exactly the same! Then copy the converted content to the blank space of the 91 Assistant dialog box. The system will prompt you that there are two files with the same name. Whether to overwrite them, you select "Yes". Okay, let's start file replacement now. Note that the permissions must be consistent with the original file! You can view permissions by right-clicking on it and selecting Properties.
8: Log off the phone and you’re done!
